Enamelling on copper 3-hour taster workshop,

Enamelling is a magical process, where glass powder is heated to create a beautiful glass layer on a copper base. In this workshop, I will teach you how to use a jeweller’s saw to create your desired shape of copper for a pendant and earrings and a drill to add jump-ring holes. 

I will then show you how to clean your piece and sieve both opaque and transparent enamel powders. I will demonstrate firing using a kiln and a blowtorch and how techniques such as sgrafitto can be used to alter your design. 

By the end of the three hours class you will have made a pair of earrings and a pendant - all materials, sterling silver ear-wires, jump rings and refreshments are included in the price. A sterling silver chain can be purchased on the day if required.
